Narrative

Avery was a young boy wanting to become a musician but he didn’t have any money to buy anything. Then he heard a strange noise from outside, his mind flooded with thoughts of what it is, he wants to know what it is but he also he doesn’t. Curiosity got the best of him and he stepped outside.

He found a flute like object on the floor, this made Avery happy because he always wanted to try the flute. so he picked it up a tried playing it and it made a horrible, dissonant sound. He kept trying and trying but it was no use, this angered Avery a lot and he ended up throwing it on the ground so hard it broke. “Oh no, no no no no no no.” Avery said worriedly. He picked up all the pieces and threw them in his bag.

He quickly ran inside and grabbed a glue gun. “I hope this works.” Avery said to himself. He carefully stuck the instrument together trying not to burn his fingers. He was getting really close to fixing it but then it broke again.

Avery was frustrated, he couldn’t think of what to do. Then he remembered there was a shop near by that could fix wooden objects. So he picked up the pieces and put them back in his bag and ran to the shop. He went inside the shop and asked the clerk “Do you think you could fix this?”.

“I haven’t seen a flute like this in years.” Said the clerk “I think I can fix it but I need the right tools”. The clerk took all the pieces into the back room and laid them on his table. He then opened his tool box.

The clerk got a strange looking tube with some glue. “This is the strongest glue on earth.” The clerk said. He proceeded to glue all the pieces back together and he gave it back to me. “Wow, thanks!” He said excitedly. He then played it and it sounded amazing. “This is the greatest day of my life!”

100 Word Challenge: Shark Tank

I was super excited yet kind of terrified, I was about to go into a shark tank. I remember seeing ad on TV about it; I’ve always wanted to see sharks up close. The people working there called my name. It was time to go into the shark tan, they gave my snorkel and lowered me down into the water. My vision went blue and I saw something swimming around. It was a humongous shark. This sight made me ecstatic. Then I saw four other sharks all following the first one. This was the best moment in my entire life.

Treasure

Mr. Moore asked us to write feedback about the term. This is mine.

I think this term was great. All the stuff we did was fun. But one of the problems was the budgeting, it got really hard to do after a few weeks because all the stuff we did. And the grading for this term was a bit confusing.

My Backyard (Short Story)

Here is a short story I wrote. Hope you enjoy.

My backyard is a very strange place. Weird looking creatures like the Joogle make there way into the backyard and start living there like they own the place. Later that week PEOPLE started living in my backyard. Then my mum shouted “All right, everybody get out of our backyard, you don’t live here!” Then all the random animals and people ran out as fast as they could.

“Do you think they’re going to come back?” I asked my mum. “Probably not they seem scared of me.” She responded. Then we had lunch, she had a tuna sandwich and I had a big bag of plums. Everything was normal but then we heard rustling outside, it was the Joogle coming to steel our lunch!

“RUN!” My mum said. So we started running away from the Joogle but it was catching up. We kept running and running but then we found a bus, so we got on the bus and told the driver to get us as far away from our house as possible. So we ended up in a desert. And everything was lovely after that. Wow this story got out of hand.

Ten minutes later the race started. Kip was in last but he wouldn’t give up. He pushed his chariot to the limits. He wanted to win no matter what. He got into 2nd place, everything was going well until… One of his wheels fell off. This made him so angry he destroyed his own chariot into tiny pieces of wood. He was really, really sad.
